    Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau-am-Inn, Austria near the Austro-German border to wife, Klara Hitler, and husband, Alois Hitler.

    Hitler Growing Up

    Hitler grew up making poor records in school. He was a shy child who was able to burst out in hysterical fits of anger when opposed, according to his only chilhood friend, August Kubizek. At age 13, his father died and left his mother to care for him and his sister, Paula. Between 16 and 19, Hitler was in politics and really into history. He had had dreams of becoming an artist and had drawn many paintings. After his mother's death when he was 19, he left for Vienna. the year was 1909.

    In 1913, Hitler moved to Munich. He was selling his paintings for what little money he could get to buy food. He ate at the homeless shelters and in cantinas.

    At the start of WWI, he volunteered his time in the German army and was accepted into the 16th Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment. he was given a metal by a Jewish man for his services in the war. Hitler's abominate attitude had begun to come up from within him.

    Hitler Becomes Officer

    Hitler worked in a prisoner-of-war camp and was released. Upon being released, he went back to Munich. he was asked to become a member of a party that was against communism. He later accepted the role and became the 7th officer in September of 1919.
  • Hiter's First Speech

    Hitler gave his first real speech in front of many people about the National Socialist German Workers Party ( which was later shortened to the Nazi Party). The ideas he gave made the point of creating jobs for everyone in Gemany. Hitler claimed that he could put things back to what they were before the Depression. During the summer of that year, Hitler chose the swatsika as the Nazi symbol.
  • Hilter's Threat

    When 1921 came around, Hitler was in control of the whole Nazi party. In July of 1921, Hitler threatened to resign when he heard that the members of the party were talking of a merge with another party.
