6) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Blogger
Blogger: I used Blogger throughout the whole process of the coursework. It showcases my progress with the use of images, text and also embedded technologies. I learnt that when you want to embed something onto your blogger, you need to put the embed link onto the HTML page. -
Timetoast
TimeToast: I used Timetoast to schedule all the tasks for the coursework. This particularly helped me in being on track as all the dates were clearly stated. This yet again was a straightforward technology as it was exactly like a timeline just a technology version of it. -
Slideshare
Slideshare: I used Slideshare for my presentations. This was very easy to use as all I had to do was open up my Powerpoint and upload it on to Slideshare. So I learnt how to upload files on Slideshare which was straightforward. -
Photography
Photography: I used a Nikon D700 for my photo shoot. I had one photoshoot using this camera. I learnt how to adjust the softboxes to my preference to get the perfect lighting. I made sure that I made my model have a lot of different poses so that I can use a variety of different images so that my magazine is versatile. I had to edit all the pictures I took on the Nikon camera as the positioning was not great however, after editing the images on Photoshop I made the images to my preference. I als -
Photoshop
Photoshop: I used this software for my front cover. I learnt how to edit pictures (Image manipulation). This helped in developing my editing skills to produce up to standard images. I learnt how to add text and change the colour of the text. Also, I how to place images onto Photoshop i.e. the barcode. Illustrator
Illustrator: I used this technology for my masthead. I learnt how to change the colour of the masthead and also make the masthead wider in terms of height and width. This software was similar to InDesign so it was not difficult to use. I learnt how to place the logo on InDesign. -
InDesign
InDesign: I used this software to create my contents page and double page spread. I learnt how to add in rulers so that the whole page is not filled, which would look unprofessional. I also learnt how to place images. Also I learnt that it takes a lot of time to get alignment perfect however the green lines help with the alignment.
