The Beginning of Dakar
Dakar was crated when Thierry Sabine got lost on his motorbike in the Libyan Desert during the Abidjan-Nice Rally. The first route started in Europe, continuing to Algiers and crossing Agadez before eventually finishing at Dakar. -
The Black Year
Thierry Sabine, French singer Daniel Balavoine, journalist Nathaly Odent, pilot Franois Xavier-Bagnoud and radio technician Jean-Paul Le Fur all met their deaths in a helicopter accident. -

Mapping was done to ensure the quickest route possible for the Rally. -

The car undergoes an in depth examination to make sure everything is functioning properly for the rally. -
The Journey Day 1
My journey started in Buenos Aires.
Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina. -
Day 2
On the second day of my journey, I made my way to Puerto Madryn. Puerto Madryn is a city in the province of Chubut in Argentina, it has roughly 58000 residents. -
Day 3
I then ventured north to Jacobacci. Jacobacci is located north of Chubut and South in Rio Negro -
Day 4
Day 4 is a rest day, in which all the contestants break, and have the oppurtunity to visits sites in San Rafael, Chile. -
Day 5
Day 5 was quite an adventure,
I hit a camel.
I then used the camels brother that I hit to tow my car to the nearest mechanic, located approximately 2 deserts away. -
Day 6
I was travelling through the dunes north of Copiapo.
I am also undergoing the second of our mechanical problems with the break of one of the engine support on my car. -
Day 7, The End
The Rally finishes where it started, in the scenic centre of Buenos Aires.
