Potty Training

24-30 Months: Intellectual
At this point, your toddler will love to play house and pretend like she has her own family.
Also, her vocabulary will increase to up to 500 words! -
24-30 Months: Physical
-Your toddler can finally kick a ball forward! You can expect this all the time now.

-By 2 1/2 your child will have reached half of his adult height. -
30 - 36 Months; Intellectual
-Your toddler will begin to use symbolic representation in make believe play.
-Your toddler will reveal intellectual curiosity in reading books and watching tv. -
30 - 36 Months; Physical
-Your toddler will be able to climb the jungle gym quickly to reach the top.
-Your toddler will enjoy making mud pies and sand castles. -
4 Years Old;Physical
-Your child cna hop on one foot.
-Your child can walk backwards easily. -
Activity for 4 year old
"Making a Rhythm Stick"
Roll a paper bag into a tight cylinder and tape securely. Allow your child to use the stick to pound on cardboard blocks, furniture, etc; to make drumming sounds. -
4 Years: Social/Emotional
Don't be surprised if your preschooler continues to ask "why?" and "how?" to understand their world.
Although your preschooler will start to make friends, they will often need and seek parental approval. -
5 Year old: Physical
Your child will LOVE to climb and play on the jungle gym and other outdoor equipment.
Also, they will enjoy riding on a bicycle with training wheels. -
5 Year old: Social/Emotional
The time has come for your child to learn right from wrong!
If you have younger children, your child will act more protective of their younger siblings. -
Activity for 5 year old
"The Wheels on the Bus"
Teach your children the song 'The Wheels on the Bus'. As the children become familiar with the song, add actions and props to make the song more fun. -
6 Years: Social/Emotional
The time has come for your child to be more quarrelsome with you and seek more independence.
They will experience rapid mood changes. -
6 Years: Physical
Your 6 year old will love to jump rope.
Also don't be surprised at their improved ball skills; they can now throw and catch a ball with ease and accuracy. -
Activity for 6 Year olds
"Name Bingo"
Have your child write his or her name on paper with a marker. Then show your children the alaphabet flash cards one at a time. When a letter comes up that is in your childs name, you child should cross out the letter on their paper. When all letters have been crossed out, your child wins!
