Adobe Photoshop is released to the public
Thomas Knoll and John Knoll were brothers in search of photo editing software and decide to make their own. Thus resulting in the very first editing software being released to the public. Before Photoshop was introduced, labor was expensive and required highly trained production staff. Once photoshop was introduced, it was far more convenient and cheaper with the added benefit of fewer limitations. -
The first website is launched
The beginning of the web as a publicly available technology started on August 6th, when Tim Berners-Lee published the first-ever website. He released the web for free, sparking creativity, collaboration, and innovation that had never been seen on such a scale before.

Was the first mass-produced GSM phone (Global System for Mobiles). Before the Nokia 1011, mobile phones were big and bulky, which made them difficult to transport. -
Computer plays grandmaster In chess
In Philadelphia on February 10, 1996, Grand Master Garry Kasparov plays a supercomputer named IBM Deep Blue, created by Feng-Hsiung Hsu. Garry Kasparov was able to beat the computer. But on May 11, 1997, Deep Blue beat Garry Kasparov in a rematch in New York City. This was the very first time a computer had beaten a reigning world champion under regular time controls, proving computer capabilities. -
