During the American Revoultion Australia was used as a prison, because before Georgia was used as a prison, but since they were fighting against them they couldn't send the prisoners there

Great Britian thought that Australia was a great place to start a colony because of its locaton (it's in the South Pacific which is good for its naval bases. This gave them many oppotunities to trade with the Americas and Asia. So they made boundries to seperate the prisoners from the navy people.

Federal government came to pass legilation to help the Aborigines because of their unfair treatment. They went on strike from farming and other things and got their land back and rights.

This act sated that all legal ties with Great Britian were served that day. Australia is now a parlimentary democracy and a constitutional monarch ( Queen Elizebeth is their queen).
