    2NE1 made their first ever appearance in South Korean boy band Big Bang's 'Lollipop' which was a commercial campaign for LG Electronics.

    The music video premiered on the 9th of June 2009. The music video features the members going to a fortune teller for advice after just being blown off by their cheating boyfriends over the phone. The fortune teller stops time in order for the girls to play sabotage on their boyfriends. In an interview, member CL stated that the song was "a warning message for the men and advice for the women".
  • Second single release called 'I Don't Care'

    "I Don't Care" topped various music shows, including KBS's Music Bank, M.Net's M! Countdown, and SBS's InkiGayo; it led the Music Bank chart for 5 weeks. The single was also the most downloaded song in July 2009. There is also reggae remix of the song.

    For the first time, 2NE1 have released their own English version of one of their songs 'Can't Nobody' which also has a Korean version. "Can't Nobody" was received well. International K-pop gossip website AllKpop.com praised the song, and called it "energetic, fast, and aggressive", and compared it to previously released single "Fire". By the end of 2010 the song was downloaded over 2.337,528 times, and continued with over 1.100.000 downloads in 2011 for a total of over 3.5 million digital copies

    First pop/ RnB ballad by 2NE1. Just over a day after the release, "Lonely" reached number one on many Korean online charts such as Daum, Bugs, Cyworld and Soribada. By the end of 2012, "Lonely" was downloaded over 4.12 million times, The music video depicts all four members in grief after a break-up with their boyfriends whilst they walk down a street and then the members meet each other at the end.

    Song is described as an electronic hip hop track that is similar to 2NE1's debut single "Fire". The single topped the Gaon Chart upon its initial release in Korea and while it was not commercially successful in Japan it won several awards. In Korea, "I Am the Best" was very successful, selling over 3.5 million digital copies in 2011 and earning the 7th position in the 2011 Gaon Year-End chart. As of June 2012, "I Am the Best" has sold a total of 3,847,000 downloads in South Korea alone.

This album introduces J-pop for the first time as well as their usual musical style of electropop and electronic dance. This album features all/most of their previous songs.
