Music video release of 'I Don't Care'
The music video premiered on the 9th of June 2009. The music video features the members going to a fortune teller for advice after just being blown off by their cheating boyfriends over the phone. The fortune teller stops time in order for the girls to play sabotage on their boyfriends. In an interview, member CL stated that the song was "a warning message for the men and advice for the women". -
Second single release called 'I Don't Care'
"I Don't Care" topped various music shows, including KBS's Music Bank, M.Net's M! Countdown, and SBS's InkiGayo; it led the Music Bank chart for 5 weeks. The single was also the most downloaded song in July 2009. There is also reggae remix of the song. -
EP self-titled release called '2NE1'
2NE1 released their first EP '2NE1' featuring songs 'Lollipop', 'Fire' and 'I Don't Care' and four other songs. -
Music video release of 'Try to Follow Me'
Features all members driving motorcycles and wearing quirky outfits. The song was announced as a promotional single for Samsung's new phone, "Corby CF" just hours before the songs release. The song was very well received by fans and was even praised by American blogger Perez Hilton. After its release, the song already managed to peak at #1 on various charts just hours after release. -

The debut studio album is classified as pop with dance, RnB, hip hop and reggae elements. The album received mixed reception. While the album was praised for its top production quality, complaints were often made about the overuse of either vocoders or the auto-tune software. The song hit number one in South Korea on the weekly charts and the monthly chart for September 2010. In 2011 the song reached other 1.5 million downloads for a total of 4.000.000 digital copies sold, it became one of the best-selling singles of all-time in South Korea. -
Music video release of 'Can't Nobody' Korean and English versions for the first time
For the first time, 2NE1 have released their own English version of one of their songs 'Can't Nobody' which also has a Korean version. "Can't Nobody" was received well. International K-pop gossip website AllKpop.com praised the song, and called it "energetic, fast, and aggressive", and compared it to previously released single "Fire". By the end of 2010 the song was downloaded over 2.337,528 times, and continued with over 1.100.000 downloads in 2011 for a total of over 3.5 million digital copies -
Music video release of 'Lonely'
First pop/ RnB ballad by 2NE1. Just over a day after the release, "Lonely" reached number one on many Korean online charts such as Daum, Bugs, Cyworld and Soribada. By the end of 2012, "Lonely" was downloaded over 4.12 million times, The music video depicts all four members in grief after a break-up with their boyfriends whilst they walk down a street and then the members meet each other at the end. -
Music video release of 'I Am the Best'
Song is described as an electronic hip hop track that is similar to 2NE1's debut single "Fire". The single topped the Gaon Chart upon its initial release in Korea and while it was not commercially successful in Japan it won several awards. In Korea, "I Am the Best" was very successful, selling over 3.5 million digital copies in 2011 and earning the 7th position in the 2011 Gaon Year-End chart. As of June 2012, "I Am the Best" has sold a total of 3,847,000 downloads in South Korea alone. -

First Japanese studio album release- 'Collection'
2NE1 released their first Japanese studio album in four different editions- CD+2DVDs+Photobook, CD+DVD, CD+ Goods (HMV stores only) and a Regular edition. This album introduces J-pop for the first time as well as their usual musical style of electropop and electronic dance. This album features all/most of their previous songs. -
2012 2NE1 Global tour: New Evolution (live in Seoul) album release
This is their second live album featuring most of their previous songs including the most recent ones such as 'I Am the Best' and 'I Love You'. including new solo tracks such as CL's 'The Baddest Female' song. This live album has a lot of electonic dance, electropop and hip hop style songs.
