    The gold and silver rush brout a lot of whites to the Rocky Mountains. Which anger the Cheyennes and the Arapahos. Those indian tribs started to attack wagon trains, minning camps, and stagecoch lines.
  • Fetterman Massacre

    Fetterman Massacre
    Crazy Horse was used as a decoy. He was able to bring a detachment and 80 soldiers to the spot were hundreds of warriors was waitint to ambush. The warriors was able to wipe out all of the soldiers.

    The Congressional Committee payed more atention to the wars out West with the Indainas and the whites.This study by the Congressional committee made Indians Peace commission to end the wars out west.

    In 1874 was when the whites discovered gold in the land of the Sioux. So then the government sent out people to check from the grass to the ground to see if there is realy gold in the Sioux land. After they found that there was gold they then tryed to buy the land from the Sioux. The Sioux would not sell their land to the U.S.

    Battle of Little Bighorn
    George Crster attacked the Sioux and the Cheyenne with 250 men when they had thousands of indians waiting for them. George Custer and his men died in this attacked. After the U.S. herd of the lost they sent more troops and crushed the indians and sent them to reservations.

    The Ghost Dance was made by the Sioux to expess their calture that is solly being distroyed. The ritual spread and the officials decided to band the dance from them doing their dance. Sitting Bull is was the leader at that time so the U.S. want after him and in the event of them arresting him he got shot and died.

    Wounded Knee is a creek that the Lakota Sioux ran to after Sitting Bull's death. Then the U.S. army went to Wounded Knee to gather their weapons. Then there was a pistol shot and the army responded with fire. The U.S. lost 25 and the Sioux lost more than 200.
