    'The double tenth'
    On October 10th, the army tookover. The soldiers made the emperor to give up his position. Then they chose SunnYat-sen to be the new leader.

    Chinese fallowers of Lenin formed the Chinese Communist Party. They quickly got a lot of support, especially the people who were not paid quite as much.

    Chiang became the leader of the Guomindang. It was helped by the communists. Chiang started to started to stop the warlords.

    Much of south China was under control of the comminuists. Bussinessmen and landowners were concerned about Chiang's alliance with the communists because they had been giving them money. Then, Chaing ordered his men to kill all the communists they could.

    By 1931, Mao had organised a communist government. Chiang realized that the Jiangxi Soviet was more of a threat to his Guomindang government then the warlords.

    The Nationalists have the comunists almost completely surrounded. The communists broke through and marched over 6,000 miles. This keeps the idea of communism alive in China, many people learn about communism during this time.

    Young Marshal kidnapped Chiang when he went to see an army base in Xian. Otherwise known ans the Xian Incident.

    In 1941, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. This lead to World War 2.

    In 1945, the United States droppes atomic bombs on Japan. After this, the Japanese government surrendered.

    This is the end of the Cultural Revolution, also the end of Mao. His widow and three other people tried to control the government and re-open the cultural revolution. The other communists didn't like that and killed them.
