  • 3rd Grade

When I was about 8 years old I really disliked reading. My older brother also did not like to read and I feel that that rubbed off on me more than anything. Whenever he saw me reading something he would give me crap about reading so I soon began to really despise reading.
  • 4th grade

Also during the 4th grade my reading teacher was the person who would give me books to read after school. She also would give me these reading sheets that she wanted one of my parents to sign to make sure that I was reading. If it was for her I don't think I would have changed my perception on reading.

When I was in the 4th grade my teacher would make us read in class almost everyday. I was a super shy kid so I did not like to read or talk in front of large groups of people. I was so affraid that I refused to read. It got to the point that my teacher would get super upset with me so I began to force myslef to read for 30 to 45 minutes after school almost everyday. That was when I first realized I really liked to read.
  • 5th Grade Library

Around 5th grade summer my mom got my sibilings and I a library membership. We would go to the library two to three times a week and would sign up for the challenges that they would have for the teens or kids. • 8th Grade year

Also during my 8th grade year we had to write a personal narrative through the eyes of someone from the holocaust. I spent a lot of time working on this project because I was very interested in the things that happened during this event. When it was time to turn in the project I was nervous. Then a couple days after I turned in the project my teacher told me it was one of the best personal narratives that one of her students have ever turne
  • Freshman Year

My freshman year in high school we had to read the story of Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. This was easily one of the hardest books for me to read. I struggled throughout reading this book, not because I couldn’t read it but because I had of all the hidden messages behind the words. Reading this book really helped me with slowing down and trying to understand what the author is really trying to say.
  • 6th grade

My 6th grade year I began to want to play the drums. I would always ask my dad to buy me a drumset but he wouldn’t until I joined my school band and I had to learn to read music. Learning to read drumset music was super hard but I quickly learned it and got my first drumset. Soon after I got the drums set my dad put me into private drums set lessons and I became really good at reading music. To this day I can still read drum set music even though it's been a year since Ive played.
  • Sophmore Year

When I was a sophomore in high school I took my first honor class in high school. I took english 10 honors and I was really nervous because I thought I was going to struggle the whole year. My teacher assigned a lot of homework, which I expected, but it was manageable as long as I had my priorities straight. I ended up finishing the class with an A and I remember being super proud because I thought for sure I was going to struggle.
  • Junior Year

When I was 16 and a junior in high school, I had to give a speech in my marketing class on the basics of how to run a franchise business. At this point in my life I was still afraid to speak in front of large groups of people. When I got up to the front of the class I was so nervous that I forgot everything that I was going to say and I stood in front of the class for three minutes and didn’t say a word. Eventually my teacher told me I could stop and give my speech tomorrow.
  • Senior Year

When I was 17 I was in my buisness class and my teacher name was Miss. Bone. We were working on power points in groups and my group needed help so I went to call Miss. Bone over except when I called her I accidently called her Miss. Boner. I don't think I have ever been so embarrassed in my life. I was thankful that she didn't get too upset and even kinda chucked at me when she realized it was truly an accident.
