1890- Sir Henry Parks, the premier of NSW convinces other premiers to discuss federation.
1891- A national convention was held. Each colony sent seven representives, from these one, comitee was chosen to begin to write a constitution.
1891-94 Colonies begin to loose interest in Federation.
NSW urgers the colonial parliments to hold a new convention, to decide on a draft constitution. People were now given a chance to agree on a constitution, by vote.
NSW renews call for another federation convention.
1897-98 The second National Australiasian convention meets in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and agrees to the constituion.
The premiers met to find ways of meeting the concerns of those three colonies. Among the changes that were made, the best descion was to cretae a new capital city. Between Melbourne, and Sydney.
The Constituion act, was passed by the British Parliment in May, and was signed by Queen Victoria.
On the first of Janurary, 1901. Queesland, South Australia, NSW, Tasmania,Victoria became united.
