    The Compromise of 1850
    California entered as a free state, the north and south came up with the Fugitive Slave Act where Slaves that were forced to return to the south be returned to the north.Due to the Georgia Platform it established Georgia's interest in the Compromise of 1850.

    A form of agriculture in which a landowner allows a tenant to use the land in return for a share at the crops produced on their portion of the land.Sharecropping developed then as a system that theorectically benefitted both parties.Land owners could have access to the large labor force necessary to grow cotton but they didn't need to pay the laborers money

    The Ku Klux Klan has a long history of violence.It's the most infamous and oldest american hate group.Black americans have typically been the Klan's primary target.The Klan's goals included the political defeat of the Republician Party. They were very sucessful in achieveing their political goals during there social events in the Reconstruction Era.
