1.Admit California under her free state constitution.
2.Organize Utah and New Mexico without the prohibition of slavery for the reason that the region was already free under Mexican law.
3.Establish the old boundary of New Mexico and compensate Texas for her loss of territory by a money payment.
4.Pass an effective fugitive slave law.
5.Prohibit the slave trade but not slavery in the District of Columbia. -
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States. He led the nation through the Civil War to preserve the nation. Not only was he a leader but he also helped put an end to slavery with the Thirteenth Amendment. This amendment stated, 'Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone on March 7, 1876. This invention revolutionized communication. He was very interested in sound technology mainly because his wife and his mother were deaf. Not only did he invent the telephone but he also launched the Bell Telephone Company in 1877.
