The Texas Revolution
The Texans started to rebel against Santa Anna, and fought a few battles before Santa Anna became very mad. He gathered an army of about 7,000 troops and marched onto San Antonio. A force of about 180 men fortified the Alamo and waited for the attack. Everyone at the Alamo was killed. March 17 marked the declaration of independence from Mexico. On April 21, Sam Houston defeated Santa Anna's army, captured him, and forced the Treaties of Velasco, ending the war. -
