  • American Declaration of inpendence

    America left Brittan to make their own country of 13 states to 52 states. They wanted the document for free rights and liberty.
  • Australia is found

    The first fleet arrives in Botany Bay, beginning British settlement. Australia Day the date commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove, New South Wales in 1788.
  • French Revolution

    1789, less fortunate and middle class citizens of France take a stand to the outrageous taxis for things like bread and revolt against the noble men a King Louis the sixteenth.
  • American Civil War

    1861-1865 between the northern and southern United States over things including states' rights vs federal authority, westward expansion and slavery.
  • New Holland Changes it's name to Australia

    In 1817, the Governor of New South Wales recommended that new Holland should change its name to Australia. But it wasn’t till 1824, New Holland was officially changed to Australia.
  • Myall creek massacare

    In New South Wales in 1838, 12 stockmen murdered and 28 aboriginal people. many of them woman, children and the elderly. Seven men were convicted and hanged for the events at Myall creek.
  • The California Gold Rush

    People from around the world quit their jobs and came to America to find gold. What started the gold rush was in May 1848 when Sam Brannan, a storekeeper discovered a bottle filled with gold dust around San Francisco shouting 'Gold! Gold! Gold from American River!'
  • Gold Rush in Australia

    Edward Hargraves discovers, gold near Bathurst,New South Wales, triggering several gold rushes around Australia.
  • Indian Mutiny

    The Indian Mutiny was when Britain over ruled India for their spices they thought it was easier to go and get there spices themselves then getting them imported.
  • First Australian Rules game invented

    In 1858 cricketers Thomas Wills and his cousin, Henry Harrison, and two others W.J Hammersley and J.B Thompson, invented the game to keep themselves fit during winter. Even though the game was invented so long ago, it is still a big part of Australian culture.
  • Abraham Lincoln becomes president.

    Abraham Lincoln becomes president, the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865.
  • Abraham Lincoln Assasination

    Abraham Lincoln is killed by an assassin five days after the Civil War ends.He was assasined in a theate room by John Wilks Booth in 1865. He wanted to abolish saverly in America and lead the northen states towards a Union America. After he died the people of America joined into one nation and stoped savelry.
  • Alexander Graham Bell invents the telephone

    In the 1870s, two inventors Elisha Gray and Alexander Graham Bell both independently designed devices that could Transfer speech electrically. Both men rushed their own designs to the office within hours of each other; Alexander Graham Bell got his in first his telephone first. Elisha Gray and Alexander Graham Bell entered into a famous legal battle over the invention of the telephone, which Bell won. .
  • Thomas Edison invents the light blub

    Thomas Edison invents the first electric light at Menlo Park, New Jersey. Thomas Edison was an American inventor. He developed many devices that helped life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and a long-lasting, l electric light bulb.
  • Boer War

    The British and the Dutch had a war that started in 1880 that when to 1899, they were fighting over Africa's gold and diamonds. The British arrested three Australian soldiers for murdering boar prisoners. Two of the soldiers were executed and one was let off.
  • Statue of Liberty

    Statue of Liberty, a gift to the United States from France, it was reaveld in New York City harbor. The statue is an icon of freedom and a welcoming signal to immigrants arriving from abroad.
  • Federation of Australia

    The six colonies of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia form one Nation
  • First Aeroplane

    Orville and Wilbur Wright invented the aeroplane on December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers made the first successful aeroplane that flew with two men
  • Titanic

    The world's largest ship the "Titanic" traveling from Southampton to New York City hits and iceberg in the North- West Atlantic Ocean and sinks killing 1517 people.
  • World War I

    World War I was centred in Europe and began on 28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1918.which were based around two opposing alliances the Allies United Kingdom, France and Russia vs. Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy. Between 10-28 million killed, around 70 million wounded
