    The second Red Scare took place after WWII, and a fear of Communism grew. Senator Joseph McCarthy was a big part of the Red Scare. In 1950, he made a speech in front of a small audience with sheets of blank paper. He said that there were 205 names of Communists on those papers. Journalists asked for at least one name, but he refused.

    The Korean War was a conflict bewtween Communists and Non-Communists. At the end of WWII Korea split into North & South Korea. The war consisted of the North and the South fighting back and forth. President Truman fired General MacArthur in 1951 because he violated the foreign policy in Korea then General Matthew Ridgway took his place. President Truman made a hard decision whether or not to enter the Korean War.
