South Carolina is right after and was founded on 1663. Its purpose was to to serve as an English bulwark to contest lands claimed by Spanish Florida. -
New Jersey was formed in 1664 by the Duke of York. Its purpose was to have many benefits for colonizing including representative government and freedom of religion. -
Pennsylvania were one of the last colonies being formed in 1682. Its purpose was to create a colony that allowed for freedom of religion. -
Georgia is the last and latest colony being founded in 1732. It was used as a refuge for the debtors who crowded London prisons.
