1st Battle of Marne

It was a Battle between Germany and France. Neither side won it was a stalemate. Both sides had to dig trenches.

Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand

The Archduke Ferdinand was alomost assasinated while riding in a parade but instead of stopping and hiding he kept going. Also later he got lost trying to find the hospital and stopped right in front of one of the assasins and that assassin killed him right then and there.

Sinking of the Lusitania

The Lusitania was a passenger ship carrying 128 citizens. The germans sunk this ship with a torpedo. this was a good reason for us to join the war.

Battle of verdun

it was a French victory but it could be considered a stalemate.

We declared war on germany because they sunk a ship carrying US citizens off the coast ofBritian.

This was an agreement with Germany to get out of WWI. It was a Heavy loss of Land and Money for Russia.

2nd battle of Marne

Mar 30, 1918

Allies win thanks to 2 million us troops and 350 tanks. Germany was too weak from a long war.

Armistice end World War I

Armistice means that both sides stop fighting with each other until the treaty is signed. the German aliiances failed so it caused them to lose the war.
