First Day of School
I first enrolled in Hopewell Crest Elementary School when I was five years old. I would make plenty of friends and stay at Hopewell until my graduation. I learned a lot from all my peers and teachers. -
Swimming Begins
When I was 13 years old, my next door neighbor talked me into joining the swim team at Georgetown. The Georgetown Dolphins taught me all of the basics to swim in competition. My first year wasn't all that great, but it paved the way for my high school success in swimming years later. -
8th Grade Graduation
I graduated from Hopewell Crest School and had to step out of my comfort zone. At the time it seemed like a big deal, but looking back on it now makes it look like any other day. Now I'm thinking about what I'm going to with my life, but back then I didn't have any big decisions to worry about. -
First Job
I started working at Eatmor during the summer of my sophomore year. Working there made me understand the responsibilities I will one day have to carry. It also made me understand the value of a dollar, which is very important. -
1st Year Varsity
I started swimming my sophomore year, but I didn't make varsity until my junior year. It was quite an achievement for me. That year I earned and All Conference award made it to sectionals for the 100 meter Breaststroke. -
Marines Recruiter Meeting
I met with a Marines recruiter to discuss enlisting in the USMC. He showed me all the career opportunities and benefits I would recieve by joining. I know that there are some risks in joining the military, but I'm interested in seeing the world and gaining priceless experiences. I haven't enlisted yet, but I seriously plan on signing up after I turn 18. -
Senior Trip
It was probably the most fun I have ever had in my entire life. Going to Disney World with my friends was once in a lifetime opportunity I'm glad I got to be a part of. I'll never forget the great time I had there. My senior trip has made me cherish every memory of my high school days, because I realized that they will soon draw to an end. -
High School Graduation
Graduation will mark the beginning of adulthood. I'll have to say goodbye to many friends once the summer is over. I worry about my future a lot. I wonder what is in store for me. -
Where I Picture Myself in 5 Years
At age 23, I plan to have some type of career in law enforcement. After serving in the Marine Corps for four years, I will have the credentials to become a state trooper and eventually a criminal investigator. I would be planning to settle down and have a family too. I also hope to live further south where the weather is warmer, such as North or South Carolina.
