    On the 4th of July 1776 13 American colonies demolish their connections to Great Brittan. The declaration encapsulated their independence from Great Brittan. Which allowed t=them to make allies with France to assist them in their war against Brittan.
  • The First Fleet Arives in Botany Bay

    The First Fleet Arives in Botany Bay
    The First Fleet of 11 ships, arrived in botany on the 24th of January 1788. With more than 1480 men, women and children ranging from British citizens to African Slaves. Who were met by a very confused and angry aboriginal tribe.
  • The First Baseball match

    On the 19th on June 1846 in Hoboken baseball was born. The New York Knickerbockers played the New York Nine at Elysian Fields. The New York Nine annihilated the New York Knickerbockers with a box score of 23-1.
  • The Eureka Stockade

    The Eureka Stockade started to brew in 1851 and by 1854 the tension between the miners and the authorities was at breaking point. In December 1854 100 man gathered at Eureka to unveiled a flag and swear an oath. The tragic event killed 22 of its rebels.
  • The first Aussie Football Match

    The first Aussie Football match was played in 1859. Aussie Rules is the oldest code of football. The first games were played against Melbourne private schools in order to keep the cricketers fit over winter.

  • The First Modern Olimpics

    In 1896 the first modern Olympics was born in Athens. There were 250 male athletes from 14 different nations competing for the glory of being an Olympian. Now days there are over there are more than 10,400 male and female athletes competing I over 300 different events.
  • Australia became its own nation

    Australia became its own nation in 1901. The 6 colonies New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia joined together and formed one nation. Commonwealth of Australia was established with a written constitution with the monarchy’ Australia's head of state as Queen Victoria.

    Brothers Orville and Wilbur
    Since 1899 brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright were experimenting flight with their home made gliders. They decided to attempted and succeeded machine powered flight. On the 17th of December 1903 Orville Wright became the first pilot in history.
  • Archduke Franz Ferdinand assassination

    The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife was a critical moment. There assassination set off a chain of events leading to World War 1. Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the heir to the Austria-Hungary throne.
  • Titanic’s maiden voyage

    On the Titanic’s maiden voyage it hit an enormous iceberg about 400 miles off the Canadian shore. The ocean liner was consider unsinkable. The Titanic carried 2,200 passengers and crew members.

    Word War 1 ended with the defeat of Germany in 1918. It had lasted 4 years and divested numerous countries. World War 1 claimed up to 13million lives.
