    Christopher Columbus discovers the New World

    Without the Christopher Columbus discovering the New World there would possibly be no such thing as the United States of America meaning there would have been no possibility of a American Revolution.
  • Puritan "Great Migration"

    In the years from 1620 to 1650 the Purtian "Great Migration" was very significant to the leading up to the American Revolution because without this migration then there wouldn't have been anyone to create an American Revolution. This was when the first real migration of lots of people to create the colonies happened, resulting in the people that would share views with their peers and family members around them to later on create the American Revolution.
  • The Pilgrims Create the Mayflower Compact

    The Pilgrims creating the Mayflower Compact was important leading up to the American Revolution because it was the first constitutional concept created which created the ideas of people agreeing and disagreeing with the ways the "government" would or should run.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was the first figurative straw pulled by the British, it was the start of the multiple taxes that led to the British using the colonies as a financial "fountain" for them to dive into and get all their money back from war. This first act made the Americans start to realize the British were taking advantage of them and begin thinking about revolution.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was an extremely significant event leading up to the American Revolution. This was the beginning of revolt but didn't start war and also showed that the British had no problem killing Americans. So, this showed the Americans that if the British didn't mind killing people of their own colonies then they could care less about them and would continue taking advantage of them. This angered the Americans more than they already were, pushing them toward their boiling point.

    This was the first action by the Americans of revolt toward the British. This pushed a lot of Americans toward the side of being for the American Revolution because they were fed up with all the British taxes and noticed that if regular Americans, like themselves, could revolt and pull off a stunt like this there should be no reason to be scared of the British.
  • Intolerable Acts

    This was the final straw for the Americans. These laws, referred to as the "massacre of American Liberty", took away several "natural rights" and the Americans were extremely angry. This event was the trigger of the American Revolution.

    This event was the creation of the American Revolution. Within the Continental Congress the Americans attempted their last try at resolving their issues with the British without war but the British denied to meet the Americans needs and soon after the American Revolution was born.

    The immigration groups were an important event leading up to the American Revolution because while colonial America was becoming a melting pot, all these cultures of people were developing views about how things should be ran, such as government. With all these people clashing ideas about how things should be ran, it would be creating a stepping stone leading towards the American Revolution.

    The establishment of the two main churches was a big event leading up to the American Revolution due to the reasoning that England set out to have one church in the colonies, the Church of England, the Anglican church, so once the colonies developed their own churches this was one of the first times the colonies had branched off from the ways of the English and made their own rules. This triggered the people in the colonies to start coming up with their own ideas for how things should be done.
