Zoey is 12 weeks old and is ready to start training to become an LLC K-9 Comfort Dog. Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dogs are friends who bring a calming influence, allowing people to open up their hearts and receive help.

In Northbrook, IL at the Lutheran Church Charities, Zoey learns to walk on all different kinds of surfaces during her training.

While learning new commands, Zoey masters "Greet," which is used when comfort dogs meet new people.

Zoey passes her AKC Good Citizen Test. She is one step closer to becoming one of the LLC K-9 Comfort Dogs.

Zoey vistits Concordia University in Mequon for the first time. She makes new friends quickly! Zoey continues to work through Concordia University. She interacts with people at churches, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, events, and in disaster response situations.

Zoey visits the children at the YMCA Camp Matawa in Campbellsport, WI for the "Camp Hometown Heroes" event. The event is for children from all over the country to meet other children who have lost a parent or other family members who have served our country in the armed forces. Through art therapy, music, counseling sessions and other avenues, the children are given the opportunity to not only honor their fallen hero but to start healing from the death of their loved one.

Zoey visits with guests in Concordia's Environmental Building where the "Faces of Depression" event is held. Faces of Depression is an annual art show at Concordia University Wisconsin featuring pieces of art that reflect the impressions of depression.

Zoey visits the Concordia University Ann Arbor campus for their annual Veteran's Day celebration. Zoey takes a picture with her handler, Dave Enters.

Zoey visits Newcastle Place nursing home once a week. The residents love interacting with Zoey!

Zoey was born on November 11, 2012. The students at Concordia throw Zoey a party to celebrate her 3rd birthday. All of her friends from Concordia are there and she recieves many new play toys! Comfort Dog T-shirts are given to her friends that attend.

The elementary students at Celebration Lutheran School were excited to see Zoey. The school looks forward to Zoey's visits.

Every morning at 9 a.m. Zoey attends the Chapel Service at Concordia University.
