    on the 13th of may 1787, 11 ships were left Great Britian and was travaling to Australia hence thats why we have Australia day. In the boat travelling there were approximetly 1000 convicts, marines and seamen.

    the first battle of gaza was fought on march 26 1917 from the first attempt of the Egyption Expeditionary force (eef). the allies had manage to force out the turkish army completly out of the in northeastern egypt. fighting took place in and around the town of gaza. when the attack they made a slow progress but the mountain troops succeeded in capturing high ground to the north of the city and advancing into it.
