The Great Purge was Staling night of Long knives in which he not only purged all the government officials in which he though to be disloyal he purged many civilians who were thought to in opposition to Stalin and they were either shot of sent to Gulags which are concentration camps where enemies of the state are forced to work In hellish conditions in Siberia with no chance of escape because they would freeze to death. -

The Rape of Nanking happened in 1938 when the Japanese army defeated the Chinese army in the city of Nanking and the Japanese soldier when in a rampage of killing, maiming and raping children, women and anything in-between its said that upwards of 60,00 women were assaulted and many of them killed with no repercussions. -

The Kristallnacht was known as the night of broken glass in which Jewish businesses and synagogues the Kristallnacht was in retaliation for a German officer who was shot by a Jewish man who walked into the German embassy and shot the officer. This was the start to open violence against Jewish people in Nazi America and the beginning of things getting worse. -
