  • Baby Jude

    Baby Jude
Welcomed my 3rd and final baby. He was 6 weeks early and fortunately he only stayed a few days in the NICU because I was able to get a few rounds of steroids in to help his lungs develop. He was trying to make his initial appearance at 25 weeks. I was on bed rest for 9 weeks.

decided to start working towards being a nurse-again!
  • started UNC

    started UNC
I got divorced and knew I needed to become more serious about getting my nursing degree. Fortunately UNC started just at the right time. I say all the time that UNC opened just for me.

    My career as a nurse!

I hope to one day be either in the NICU or Labor and Delivery. I had Eli and Jude in the NICU for a few weeks due to them being premies and wimpy white boy syndrome hit hard ;). The nurses I had during my labor and deliveries and NICU made all the difference. I was the mom with a birth plan and they didn't shame me for it at all. They supported me when I was crying over the little incubator. I want to be that nurse for someone one day!
