  • Lenin led a Russian Revolution

    Valdimir Lenin led a revolution with the Bolshevik party to overthrow the provisional government. The Bolshevik's captured government buildings and other important locations. The new govenment was controlled by Lenin. His govenment made peace with germany. During the Rule of Lenin he had to fight a cival war with anti-Bolshevik army forces. Lenin's army won and later went on to form the USSR.

    The US rejects the treaty mainly because it has to due with the league of nations.
  • 100 million people in US

    In the 1920 cencus it was the first time there was over 100 million people in the US. Since the last census the total had increated over 15%. The most populated state at the time was Indiana. At the time there was 48 states recorded. The only states not included were Hawaii and Alaska. They were added later in 1959.
  • KDKA first college to offer regular broadcast

    The KDKA station in Pittsburg Pennsyvania was the first staion to offer regular broadcast. The station is for news only. This was very important because it offered a way to communicate with the public. This broadcast serevice also has a few diffent first. It reported on elections, sporting events, and religious services. All of these acomplishments are very substacial things in the US today.

    Granted women to vote.At this time women had far less rights. This was known as woman sufferage.
  • The American Professional Football League is formed

    This was the first time football was organized on the national level. Originally there were leagues in New York and In Ohio. Once more teams were created the need for a national league appeared. This was later the the NFL (National Football league). The first President of the American Professional Football Leauge was Jim Thorpe. Aside from being president he also played on a team.
  • All Indians deemed citizens

    All indians are designated citizens. This was was passed by the US congress and signed off by President Coolidge. This right was given by The Indian Citizenship Act. This gave citizenship to all all native born. The act was thought to give recognition to the thousands of native americans serving in the military. This gave citizenship to around 125,000 or 300,000 indigenous people.
