The battle of Belgorod was a combat operation in the Eastern front by the red army,Russians,against the Wehrmacht force,Germany.This battle begin in july 23 and finished in August 14.It was one of the operation that followed the battle of Kursk.

The Alaskan island of Kiska was evacuated by the remaining 5000 Japanese officers,who had occupied the american territory.when American radar detected what appeared to be a convoy of seven reinforcement ships. Japanese knowing that they deserted the island in less than 1 hour. When the Allied troops arrived to Kiska,they were suprised to found it deserted.
