when war began.
when the men went to the first world war, they had no idea what they were getting themselves into.
They thought it would easy to win against the turks (A.K.A. turkey)
.But they were wrong. It was horrible. They had food that decayed their teeth, and if they stuck anything above their trenches, it would emmidiatly be shot off by the turks -

this battle was the bloodiest of them all. Many of them died from both sides. This battle went from the 21st of feb, to the 20th of december. -
When the war ended.
when the WW1 ended, the whole country rejoyced over the coming home of their ANZAC boys. But some cryed bitterly, from the death of some. -

3 years of war passed, they didnt know this would be as long as it was! They only thought it was going to be a few months.
