The impact the US had on entering WW1 was to bring in fresh troops to the European front which stopped a massive German offence which in turn brought about the end of the world for the allies bringing it about to their side. -

The treaty reassigned German boundaries and demanded that the Germans pay reparations. Germany had to admit that they started the war. It made them perceive themselves as weakened, tricked, betrayed; while hating the treaty feeling that Russia started the war. They also were made to disarm the country. -

The Dawes plan provided short term economic benefits to German economy. The young plan reduced the amount due from Germany for starting WW1. These were to bring Germanys economy back to normal. -

The causes of the great depression were a number of weaknesses in the economy: income was unevenly distributed, the wealthy large profits though Americans spent more than they earned Farmers faced heavy debt and the lingering effects of WW1 as Europe struggled to pay back debts and recreations. The stock market crashed causing thousands of people to pull all their money from the banks. -
