Stanley S. Lane was born in Warsaw, Poland october 1st, 1901. Stanley Lane was not his real name. Stanley was named Samuel Levine and was born in a jewish family in the ghettos and changed his name after he got to America. -
Lusitanig Sank
A German submarine sunk a British passenger ship wih a torpedo when they entered the war-zone. It killed nearly 1,200 people including 128 Americans. It was considered a terrorist attack. -
Enlists In Army Calvary
Stanley was just 17 and had enlisted in the army calvary. Stanley was asigned in horse drawn artillery. This was his first time seeing or working with a horse. Also in this year he trained with the Blue Devils wich was a group trained and watched by the French. -

A German official sent Mexico telling them to me allies with Germany. He told them that if they did they would help them get their lost terrritory in Texas, New mexico, and Arizona after the war.But it was leaked America wanted war with Germany. -
Large Horns
During ww1 they created latge horns that amplified sound so they coukd find air craft nesrby. It helped saved many lives. It was used as a good thing and men were happy to have something to help. -
War Animals
In ww1 they also used many different animals to help with differet parts. They used dogs, horses, birds, camels, and cats. They also from time to time would have elephants help with lifting the heavy things. -
Trench Digging
Some trenches had assitance from tremch digging machines. They used trenches to use in battle but most men woukd be dying already from all the diseases already in the trenches itself. They water also on them 24/7 it would completely mutilate they feet. -
Flue Epidemic
The flue epidemic hit hard on our troops in WW1. Many men including Stanly had gotten very sick. This just relates to the war and something hppened to him. i have no clue what else can go on this slide. -

Germany became a republic?German Emporer stepped down they signed a truce to stop fighting on Armistice Day. -
Telephone world war 1
Gield telephones were created during ww1. They had a huge spool so that they could go as fr out in the field as needed or wanted to. -
Massive Bullets
They created giant (bullet) shells for a railroad job. They were originally used with battlehsips. They later put the massive guns on armored rail cars. Both sides usd them during the war. -
Treaty of Brest-Litovsiz
It ended the war between Russia and Germany.Russia lost a lot of territory including Ukraine, Polish territory, Baltic and Finland.. without warning Russia it was just taken. Germany focused on Western forces. -
Citizenship and Hawaii
In the year 1919 Stanley had finally gotten his citizenship. This was the same year he also changed his name. Stanley was also planning on going to the 15th calvry in Hawaii but only got as far as California and stayed in the medical corps for a year. -
Hawaii
This year he went to Hawaii and stayed there until 1940. Just before Pearl Harbor. i guess he really dodged a bullet. Then Stanley died at 103.
