    In the 500BC's the West Africans started making a hard metal by heating rocks which they could use as a tool.

    In the timespan of the Early African Civilizations there was a lot of civilizations that we still have today. Some of the dates are: 1060-Ghana Reaches it’s height, 1200-Ghana Falls, 1235-Mali Begins, 1500-Mali Falls, 1590-Songhai falls.

    Chapter 16- Early America

    Aztecs warriors played an extremely important role in the powerful Aztec civilization.
    Maya cities were known for their impressive structure, including pyramids that were many stories tall.
    The huge Inca Empire was linked together by an elaborate system of roads and rope bridges.

    13.2-Ghana-The Beginning of Ghanas

    A bit after AD 300, the people of Soninke people united to stop nomadic people from invading them. The people uniting started Ghana.

    15.1-Japan-Yamato rulers became emperors

    During this time Yamato rulers expand their territory to Honshu. They didn't actually conquered all of Honshu, but soon the Yamato rulers called themselves emperors of Honshu.

    Chapter 14-China

    China was reunified and Buddhism spread during the Sun and Tang Dynasties. Farming and trade grew under the Tang and Song Dynasties. Confucian thought influenced Chinese government and education. The powerful Yuan and Ming Dynasties strengthened China, and expanded trade, but then China became isolated.

    The first woman in China to rule in the Tang Dynasty was Empress Wu who was a intelligent and talented person and also could be vicious sometimes.

    During the Tang Dynasty, Many scholars and historians were instersted in Confucianism and in the Tang Dynasty Neo-Confucianism which means “new Confucianism”.

    16.1- Early America-Maya decides to settle down

    During this time, Maya settled down in what is called Northern Guatemala. Many thick forests were there in that time, but the Maya cleared some parts of the forest anyways to farm. They grew crops such as corn and maize.

    This was a book written by a lady from Japan called "Lady Murasaki Shikibu". This book was also known to many historians as the first full-length novel in history. Many readers also recommended this book too.

    The Leader of the Minamato clan was the strongest man in Japan. Later on, He didn’t want to get rid of the emperor and he decided to leave the emperor as a figurehead. He also gave himself the title shogun which was a general who ruled Japan in the emperor’s name.

    14.4-China-The beginning of Genghis Khan conquering

    Genghis was known to control most of China with the Mongol which Genghis Khanhad cooperate with them.He manage to conquer north of China before he died.

    In the timespan of 1312 to 1337, A leader named Mansa Musa took over Mali. In that time he added trade cities to its empire like Timbuktu

    16.2- Early America-Aztecs first settlements in Mexico

    In Mexico, the first Aztecs settled in a swampy area of Lake Texcoco. Over there the Aztecs started there construction of their capital and conquering nearby towns too.

    Ibn Battutah was a famous muslim writer to write about West Africa. In one year he traveled through the region and described political things.

    16.3- Early America-Pachacuti wants to expand.

    Pachacuti, the ruler of Inca, in the mid-1400s, decided to expand his territory. Later on, many rulers after him also follow his example and therefore the Inca empire was huge.
