The Seneca Falls Convention was the first big event in women's rights movement. It was held in Seneca Falls, New York. Many Men and Women took part in this protest. This jump started the women's rights movement in America.

The American Woman Suffrage Association was founded by Lucy Stone and Henry Blackwell. This organization focused on voting and were less radical than the NWSA. Later merged with National American Woman Suffrage Association.

72yrs after the Seneca Falls Convention, the 19th Amendment is passed. This amendment gives women the right to vote.

Law requires equal pay must be given to men and women preforming the same job. This also includes race, color, nationality and religion.
