    Seneca Falls Convention
    This is the first meeting for women to disscuss voting rights. Women split over the issuse in the 14th and 15th amendment.
  • Wyoming

    Wyoming
    Women convienced state legislatures to grant them the right to vote, in Wyoming at first. This lead to more grants and women attempting to vote.
  • Illegal Voting

    Illegal Voting
    Women questioned their citizenship. Which lead to "illegal" voting. They attempted to vote 150 times in 10 different states. This lead to a decison by our government effecting women and their strive to vote.
  • Supreme Court Decision

    The Supreme Court said that women were indeed citizens but that doesnt give them the right to vote. This pushed women to achieve more.
  • NAWSA

    Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Staton founded the NWSA, which lead to the NAWSA (National American Woman Suffrage Association). This caused many men to fear the change in the role women could lead.
  • Carrie Chapman Catt

    1900-1904 Carrie was the president for the NAWSA. She retuned in 1915 and had 5 NEW tatics on her mind.
  • Triangle Shirtwaist Fire

    Dangerous conditions, low wages, and long working hours had already had women wanting to reform. When this tragic event called the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire happened, it cused womens rank to grow.
