Illegal voting
Susan B. Anthony and other women tried to vote at least 150 times in 10 states. The supreme court ruled that women were citizens and the denied that citizenship automatically conferred the right to vote. -
Carry Nation and the WCTU
Her group would go into saloons, singing, praying, and asking them to stop selling alcohol. As they grew from a small midwestern religous group to a national organization with over 245,000 members over the years. they also provided women with expanded public roles which they justified giving women voting rights. -
NAWSA formed
This group joined another group that was before NWSA . It was the largest and most important women suffrage organization group in the United States. -

Was the leader who campainged for the 19th amendment which gave women the right to vote in 1920. -
