alice paul and lucy burns started a new women's group and formed a round the clock picket line around the whitehouse. some women were aressted and jailed. those who refused to eat were force fed. -
19th amendment
the 19th amendment gave women the right vote. it was ratified by1920, 72 years after women demanded the right to vote at seneca falls.
