  • Seneca Falls Convention

    Seneca Falls Convention was something that established the rights for blacks to have legal right but the 14th and the 15th admendment excuded woman. Susan B Anthany, a leader in proponet of womans suffrage. In 1890 Anthany and Stanton had founede the National Women Suffarge Association, which united with another group in 1890.
  • Illegal Voting

    The woman would go to the polls and try to vote or they would try different tactics and then they would try to illeagly vote.
  • Carry Nation and the WCTU

    Carry Nation was a woman who in the 1890's worked for prohibition by walking into saloons, scolding the costumers, and using her hatchet to destroy bottle of liquore.
    The WCTU (Woman's Christian Temperance Union) was founded in Cleveland in 1874. This organiation spearheaded the crusade for prohibition. As momentum grew, the Union was transfered by Frances Willard from a small midwestern religious group in 1879 to a national organization.
