    National Women's Trade Union
    In 1903, there was a group of women that wanted to improve the work conditions and the hourly wages that women received. This group was called the National Women's trade Union.
  • Birth Control Clinic

    Birth Control Clinic
    The first birth control clinic was opened on in Brooklyn, NY by Margerat Sanger. This clinic was shut down ten days later but reopened in 1923.

    In 1921 Margaret Sanger founds the American Birth Control League which helped the foundation for the Planned Parenthood foundation.
