Susan B. Anthony was a cofounder of the National Women Suffrage Association. Mary Perkins was her inspiration for womens suffrage. She was her teacher. She illegally voted in 1872 and never paid the fine. She quoted saying " I would sooner cut off my right hand than ask the ballot for the black man and not for women."

When people voted illegally. Susan B Anthony did it in 1872 and was fined 100 dollars that she never paid.

The WCTU is the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. They were big with prohibition (the banning of alcoholic beverages). They would protest in saloons. Carry Nation is a woman that was big on the prohibition thing. She would go into saloons and wreck the saloons with her hatchet.
