The election of 1912 was a make or break moment for women, Theodore Roosevelt ran for the progressive part of the election, as he was for women's rights, and Woodrow Wilson wasn't, so as the women held their breath to see what would happen Wilson won, crushing all of their dreams, and they had to fight even harder.

Women from every state came together to parade for their rights, this outraged the men, as they came to the parade site and brutalized the women, this was an outrage, as the NAWSA was nervous that all of their progress would backfire and everything will go back the way it was before, with women not being able to vote.
