    It says "Men and women shall have equal right throughout the United States and any place subject to its jurisdiction.
  • The Equal Pay Law is passed by Congress.

    This law ensured equal wages for the same work regardless of race, color, religion, nation origin or sex of the worker.
  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act passes.

    This made it so that sex discrimination can not happen at jobs.
  • The Supreme Court establishes the right for married people to use contraception.

  • California Adopted our nations first "no fault" law.

    This meant that divorce could happen with mutual consent.
  • Sandra Day O'Connor is the first women on the United States Supreme Court.

  • The "Me Too" movement started.

    This is a way to help women who have survived sexual violence.
