After years of women protesting and marching for this right, Congress passed the 19th Amendment. This was a major success to women's rights and gave women the equality men had in politics.

President John F. Kennedy formed this commision as a way to investigate the issues regarding inequality of women. The commission reported that discrimination of women in the workplace is prevelant. As a result, many people became aware for the need to end discrimination in the workplace.
