    The blue bird nurses were canadian nurses who served in wars such as WWI, WWII, Afghanistan, and The Korean War. They provided medical support to soldiers serving overseas.

    The federal divorce law changed letting them obtain a right to stand on the same grounds as men when getting a divorce.

    The famous five consisted of 5 women, Emily Murphy, Irene Parlby, Nellie Mcclung, Louise Mckinney, Henrietta muir Edwards. These five women fought the supreme court by starting a petition saying that ¨does the word ¨persons¨ in section 24 of the British North America Act, 1867,not, include female persons?¨ this case was overturned and had radical gender changes.
