The 2 Day Meeting
Four women were invited to tea at Jane Hunt's home, and they had all decided to have a 2 day meeting to discuss women's rights. -
The 11th Women's Rights Convention
This covention was held to gain rights for all women. The women at these convetions had pledged to do this. For all races of women to have rights and not themselves also. -
The American Women Sufferage
This was a association that was formed by Lucy Stone and many other women. They organized this so they could focus on women's sufferage and on amending individual state constitutions. -
Woman's Sufferage: Voting
In November 1872 Susan B. Anthony had tried voting illegally and got a $100.00 fine that she chooses to not pay. -
Strike
On this day many women had gone on strike for rights. More than 100 people died. Especially females and many teenagers for workplace safety and protective legislation for workers. -
The House and the Senate
The bill for women's sufferage passed the house but failed to keep going when it came to the Senate. -
President Wilson
He had public support for the federal sufferage amendment. -
President Addresses Senate
The president talks to the Senate personally becuase he wanted women to have the same rights as they did at the wars end. -

The House and bill
The house passes the bill and becomes an amendment. -
Senate and Bill
The Senate passes the bill with two more votes to spare. It was drafted by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stantonwhen it was first inroduced in 1878. Then it was sent to the states for ratification. -
Gertrude Ederles
Gertrude wins the English Channel, and she was the first woman to do this. Also when she won, she broke down all of the previous held records. -
First Woman in the U.S. Cabinet
Frances Perkins was sworn as a secretary, and also be the first woman in the U.S. cabinet. -
Jacequeline Cochran
Jacequeline became the first woman to break the "sound" barrier. -
Rosa Parks
Rsa was arrested in Montgomery, Alabama. This was what started the Civil Rights Movement.
