    The Laws prevented women and men to get equal pay for the same job. Women would $.75 for every dollar men would get. The reasoning for unequal pay was because men were support to take care of the family.

    Equal Pay Act
    Congress passes the Equal Pay Act, making it illegal for employers to pay a woman less than what a man would receive for the same job. It was illegal for employers to pay women less than men for the same work or for men to be paid less than women for the same work.
