    Stanton joined the causes of temperance and abolition which led to her pursuit for equal rights. She held a Woman’s Rights Convention in 1848 to address the inequalities faced by women. invited to speak at the first National Women's Rights Convention in 1850
  • Susan B. Anthony

    Susan B. Anthony
    Susan was an activist all her life. She spent most of her time fighting for women's suffrage. Helped to start the Women's National Loyal League to petition outlaw slavery. Also Co-founded a newspaper called the Revolution.

    First women to run for the office of the president. Became first female stock broker. Made a fortune on the New York stock exchange. Victoria was the first women to apear before the House Judiciary Committee where she spoke on women's suffrage

    Alice was a huge part of the women's suffrage act. Was arrested several times and served time in jail she was jailed for "freedom". Helped with the 19th ammendment.

    Amelia flew her first plan October 22,1922 to 14,000 feet (The world altitude record for female pilots). Was the 16th woman to be issued a pilot's License. Amelia never let her gender hold her back from achieveing her goals.

    Known as the "First Lady of the World" for her work on human rights issues. Served on the UN General Assembly. She was also a strong supporter of the New Deal. Ranked in the top ten of Gallup's 1999 list of most widely admired people of the 20th century.

    Was the founder of the Hull house. The first community help center. She devoted most of her life to helping the poor. Jane was also the first woman to win a Nobel Peace Prize.

    She once tried making her way into the acting buisness but when that didnt work she left. She became the first lady and was a stay at home mother. Nancy started the Campaign "Just Say No" to help raise drug abuse awareness.

    Betty was a feminist writer/activist. Broke new ground by exploring the idea of women finding personal fulfillment outside of their traditional roles. Helped advance the women’s rights movement as one of the founders of the National Organization for Women (NOW).

    Hillary Clinton
    Became a member of the presidential impeachment inquiry staff. Also ran to be the first female president and was the first female canidante to receive electoral votes. Was the first woman to be elected to the U.S. senate from New York. Then nominated to become secretary of state.
