    • this gave former slaves the right to vote. The amendment specfied that only males could excluding women's suffrage. Stanton and Anthony were outraged, Led to splits in movement.

    Stanton and Anthony formed this. It only allowed female membership only. However Lucy Stone forms the American Woman Suffrage Association which allowed males to join the cause.
