The Creation
The world falls into a crisis of not having enough resources for the world's post-flare population. World In Catastrophe - Killzone Experiment Department started trying to find ways of lowering the population safely and quickly after the remaining world governments were brought together in Alaska. -
The Decision
The members of WICKED decide that the best way to lower the population is to spread a man-made disease to kill off the population. They found a disease that attacks the brain right after it hits the victim and they die within an hour of the strike. -
The Attacks
WICKED's attacks are brought into the view of our main character, Mark. They kill off many of the people of the village. -
Discovery
Mark discovers people who are surviving from the disease and noticing that it takes longer and longer for them to die. They show insanity, crazed laughing, random singing, and incredible amounts of rage from the noises in their head. -
WICKED's Employees
The disease spreads through the air quickly and effectively. The people that were working in the WICKED Department of the Carolinas becomes affected by the disease. They want to start an uprising and go through a flat trans to ask the people in Alaska for the cure, and kill them if they have to. -
WICKED's New Process
Later in Asheville, an immune is able to make through the flat trans and show the Alaskan head quarters something went wrong. After the discovery of the disease spreading and destroying society instead of just population control, this world organization decides to change course. They are now trying to cure the disease they started. -
The Maze
Wicked gathers as many immune children as they can and create the Maze. They put the children in their and give them food and supplies and a steady input of new children after they wipe their memories. They develop the maze in hopes that it will produce a pattern in their brains of the killzone. In other words, the killzone is the cure to the Flare, as the disease came to be known as. -
The Maze's End Begins
The Maze was created by four of WICKED's own immune children, and after two years of watching their idea flourish, they believed it was time to add stress. The books follow Group B (boy group), and Thomas is sent there to initiate the end of the peace. Thomas's memory is wiped like the others, and he is sent there to help lead them out of the Maze when the end comes. -
A Girl
Two days after Thomas arrives, Teresa shows up through the box that has brought everyone else. Everyone is starting to feel the shocked WICKED wanted them to feel. They start to create the end. The WICKED control men outside stop closing the walls every night, and they turn the sky gray. No more sun. -
Next Test
WICKED has an elaborate plan to test these kids to their furthest capabilities. So they let their children make a planned escape to a new warehouse, where they will sleep for the night only to find the new mission soon after. -
Beginning the Test
WICKED has the surviving children run through a long tunnel, taking many hours. When they get to the end, they discover they have put into a desert area. A desolate city lies in front of them, but is many miles away. Little do the kids know, that the city is full of cranks... -
A Plan Mishap
Thomas is the main goal of WICKED, and they want him to survive. Thomas was shot, but that was not part of the plan. WICKED came in, saved Thomas, and returned him back to the original group. -
Denver
Denver's altitude acts to help the city become a safe haven, but it also hinders the city. If anyone were to become infected and it spread, everyone would be trapped. Thomas is being taken away by a bounty hunter, when a cop robot starts firing and killing the bounty hunter. Dr. Jansen, the lead researcher, appeared on the screen of the robot. Here he tells Thomas of the new plan, and how he is the only way a cure can be made. -
WICKED Escape
After the final trial of the desert, WICKED took all survivors to the headquarters to give all the people their memory back. They divided all the survivors, and gave them the option of getting their memory back or not. After rejecting the offer, Minho, Thomas, and Newt planned their escape out of the confined area. They did not want anything to do with WICKED at all anymore. -
Finding Thomas
After the escape, WICKED went on a man hunt. With all of their immunes escaping they have two plans at once. WICKED started finding other immunes to start the maze all over again. While starting this new task, they searched a desolate wasteland for Thomas, however that can be an absolute challenge. There are only five cities that are safe havens, and you cannot see the whole world unless you are out there exploring. -
The Meeting
This organization has started to crumble away at the seams. Their lead researcher has become mad, they are trying to start up a failed experiment, and Thomas is unwilling. Dr. Jansen wishes to take Thomas's brain and will go to any length to get it. He tells Thomas that he will do anything for it. -
Bad Patrol
Thomas is able to escape again. This time with the help of Red Arm, an organization that wants to take down WICKED completely. Now, Thomas and his friends must go through the headquarters of WICKED to save the immunes WICKED gathered. -
The End Meeting
WICKED's complete ending comes at the very worst possible time to meet up with a group. The immunes are shuffling through a flat trans set up by Chancellor Paige as a last ditch effort to make sure the human race lives. Dr. Jansen and a group of WICKED employees meet up with the group and fight off the courageous group of fighters. All while this encounter and shuffling is happening, the building is about the to collapse from the bombs that were exploded by Red Arm. -
The True End
The employees were not the greatest of fighters, and you could tell from how quickly they lost. At the end of the fight while the kids ran away for a new home, Dr. Jansen and his employees watched their last chances to save the human race disappear. They were crushed by a falling wall...
