The gang travelled north after hearing the NWMP were moving in to clear out their whisky trading post. They established a small settlement outside of Whispering Creek.

One night, strange whispers draw the Woop-up Gang to a deep pit in the ground. A demonic woman emerges and promises them gold in exchange for human sacrifice.
One Metis member informs the others that the Cree used to call these things "The Yoggothi", or "Great Ones". Hundreds of years ago, their legends say, they had to be fought back into the pit and many Cree were lost. The Pit was surrounded by cauldrons of hot oil, which was poured into the pit daily until nothing emerged. -
Unsatisfied with the cautious amount of human sacrifice they are given, the creatures that would later be called "Lifeform 03" emerge from their pits in increasing frequency.

Several children, prostitutes and poor go missing overnight. Although previous years only sawone or two missing reports, this time the number is nearly a dozen.

Offering a large purse of gold to the succesful hunter, the Mayor attempts to rid the forests of the creatures inside it. Bounty Hunters, Trappers, Criminals and Gentlemen show up to hunt the beasts. Believing that the stories are most likely exaggerated accounts of large bears, most of the hunters are killed.

Discovering what the gang was up to while searching for their missing loved ones, the townspeople rout them from their settlement and fight the Yoggotthi back into their Pit.

To ensure the Pit is never again breached from either side, the townspeople form a secret group The Wagon Circle. They build homes as sentries around the pit and swear an oath never to disturb it or speak of it to an outsider again, lest they are tempted by it's riches and risk bringing the Yoggothi back. Using the gold left behind by the creatures, The Wagon Circle is well-funded well into the 21st. Century.

With the war in Europe escalating, more and more volunteers leave to enlist and fight Hitler with the Canadian Army. By 1940, only the sick, infirm, women and children remain in Whisper Creek.

Using a small anomaly close to the Pit, a super-intelligent Great One is able to slip out of the void and establish a foothold in Whisper Creek. It uses it's powers of influence to subvert several townsfolk into helping him find and attempt to reopen the portal so the Yoggothi can come through in great numbers and feed on our world.

Agents of Wagon Circle, with help from those left behind by the war, find and destroy the Yoggothi's Enclave before He and his followers can reopen the Pit.

Wagon Circle's leadership replaces the outdated name and scientific research begins anew on the Pit.

The CIRCLE scientists open on the coordinates they have been given. They are overtaken, but not before one scientists removes the control box.

The Prisoners, concerned that "Jimmy"--a being specifically designed to wipeout others of his kind-- will not go along with their plan, deactivate him and place him in a psych hospital.
