  • Riff goes to the drug store where Tony is working ar to convince him

  • Maria has just arrived from Puerto Rico

  • at the dance a battle starts out between the two gangs

  • Tony&Maria fall in love at the dance

  • riff and bernardo are going to meet to discuss the gang war

  • Tony find marias builiding and serenades her and they confess their love for eachother

  • the sharks show up to discuss the weapons that are to be used during the fight

  • they agree on the fair fight which consists of just using their fists

  • tony talks to doc about being in love with maria and doc is scepticall about it

  • Marai finds out about he fight and asks tony to stop it . He agrees to

  • tony tries to stop the fight but his friend riff and Maria`s brother end up dead in the process

  • tony arrives after Maria found out about him killling her brother . she forgives him and they make plans to leave town

  • Lt. schrank questions marai about her brothers death so she sends Anita to tell Tony to wait

  • The sharks are very mean to Anita which makes her very mad which leads to her telling them that MAria is dead

  • doc tells tony what Anita said and he goes to find chino to ask him to kill him too

  • Right as Tomy see that Maria is alive chino shoots him dead

  • the gangs began to aruge again but the Marai says that they all kill him

  • the gangs stand on either said of both of the lovers and the war between the gangs is over
