  • Natural Selection

    Natural Selection
Natural selection is the idea that a certain species or generation of that species is more or less likely to go extinct based on their traits. These traits include hereditary and reproductive capacity, I.e. what traits passed from parent to offspring will further or hinder the lifespan of an organism. works Cited “Natural selection.” The Merriam-Webster.com Dictionary, Merriam-Webster Inc., https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/natural%20selection. • "The Descent of Man"

    "The Descent of Man"
Charles Darwin publishes his second work" The Descent of Man," which further expands upon the theory of evolution in humans. This work explores the mental, physical, and reproductive differences and how man varies from one another and woman (Darwin, 9). His book also uncovers the selection of a mate, and what attracts us to further our survival as a species. Darwin, Charles. The Descent of Man and Selection in Relation to Sex. • "The Expression of Emotions in Man and Animals"

"The Expression of Emotions in Man and Animals"
Darwin's third and final work before his death tackled the concept of emotions both in humans and in other animals. It combines the physical and mental aspects by which emotions are expressed and how they are connected to each other. For example, in chapter 3, he derives the connection between the nervous system, and the emotions we feel, like excitement and anger (Darwin, 66). Works Cited Darwin, Charles, -.
